About us
Quick Mortgages is a fee-free, Birmingham-based mortgage and protection brokerage. We are not tied to any lender, we do not charge you for advice, and you deal with one named person from the first call to the day you get the keys. Everything below follows from those three facts.

It is the first question worth asking of any broker who says they are free, so here is the whole answer. When your mortgage completes, the lender pays us a procuration fee. That is it. There is no advice fee, and nothing to pay if your case never completes.
The obvious follow-up is whether that skews what we recommend. It would, if we were tied to a lender or if one paid conspicuously more than the rest. We are not, and they do not — procuration fees across our panel sit close enough together that the difference could not survive a compliance file review, let alone justify putting someone on the wrong product.
What it does mean is that we only get paid when a case actually completes. Chasing a slow solicitor is not us being nice. It is us being paid.
Any broker can place a straightforward purchase on a permanent salary. These are the ones where knowing which lender to approach first is worth something.
Armed Forces Help to Buy, BFPO addresses, postings that make a lender nervous and a broker who has done it before relaxed.
Shift allowances, overtime and the income patterns that get misread by an automated affordability check.
Bank shifts, enhancements and multiple contracts, treated as the real income they are.
One year of accounts, retained profit, dividends and the lenders who will actually look at them.
Agricultural ties, non-standard construction, flying freeholds, HMOs and anything a high-street surveyor sucks their teeth at.
Auction deadlines, chain breaks and refurbishment, with an exit plan written before the loan is drawn.
Both of these are easy to put in a footer and harder to mean. Ours come with a paper trail.

We are signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant and hold the Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award. In practice that means serving personnel, veterans and their families get advisers who already know how Forces Help to Buy interacts with a mortgage, what a BFPO address does to an application, and which lenders handle a posting mid-purchase without panicking.

We support the Police Federation of England and Wales, have been featured in their magazine more than once, and turn out for the things that are not press releases — the Pershore charity touch festival among them. Police pay is genuinely awkward to evidence, and we would rather be the broker who already understands the payslip.
Introducers and partners
Estate agents, accountants, solicitors, developers and brokers who do not cover a particular specialism all send us cases. Your client keeps you as their point of contact, gets a fee-free service, and comes back to you when it completes.
Henry Wright looks after partnerships. He will tell you honestly whether we can help before anyone is promised anything.

We are directly authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, firm reference number 841262. Directly authorised means we answer to the regulator ourselves rather than sitting under someone else’s permissions, and you can check us on the FCA register in about thirty seconds. We would rather you did.
Tell us what you are trying to do. We will tell you whether it is possible, roughly what it costs, and who would be looking after it — before you commit to anything.
