Cookie Policy
What we store on your device, why, and how to change your mind. Nothing but the essentials is set until you tell us it can be.
This policy covers quickmortgages.com, operated by Cherry Street Holdings Ltd trading as Quick Mortgages. It sits alongside our Privacy Notice, which explains what we do with personal information more generally.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. It lets the site recognise your device on a later page or a later visit. Some do work you would notice immediately if they stopped — remembering that you have already answered a question, for instance. Others exist to count visitors or to measure advertising. This policy also covers similar technologies such as local storage and tracking pixels, which do much the same job by different means.
Your choice, and what happens if you make no choice
When you first arrive we ask what you are willing to allow. Until you answer, only the essential cookies below are set. Analytics and advertising cookies are held back — the scripts that would set them are not loaded at all, rather than loaded and asked politely to behave.
You can change your answer whenever you like using the cookie settings link, which also appears in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
The categories we use
Essential — always on
These make the site and the enquiry form work, and record the choice you made about the others. They cannot be switched off, because without them the site cannot do the thing you came for. They do not track you and they are not shared.

Preferences — only with your permission
Remembers choices you make so that you are not asked the same thing twice.
Statistics — only with your permission
Anonymous information about which pages are used and how people move through the site, so we can work out what is useful and what is not. We use Google Analytics for this. With this category refused, the Google Analytics tag is not loaded.
Marketing — only with your permission
Lets us and our advertising partners see which adverts and referrals lead to an enquiry, so that we are not paying to advertise into thin air. This is what allows us to tell that a visitor who came from a Google advert went on to ask us to call them. It includes sharing a reference with the partner who referred you, where you arrived through one. With this category refused, none of these tags are loaded.
Where these categories are allowed, cookies may be set by Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Tag Manager) and by our referral and affiliate partners, in each case under their own privacy policies. These are third-party cookies: they are set by those companies rather than by us, and we cannot read them.
Google Consent Mode
We use Google Consent Mode v2. In plain terms: Google’s tags are told what you have allowed before they do anything, and they are told to deny advertising and analytics storage by default. If you refuse a category, the corresponding storage stays denied for the whole of your visit.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Separately from the choice you make here, every major browser lets you block or delete cookies for a site. Look for “Privacy” or “Site settings” in your browser’s settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop parts of this site working properly, including the enquiry form. Deleting our cookies will also delete the record of your choice, so we will ask you again on your next visit.
Most browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” setting. There is no agreed standard for how sites should respond to it, so we do not rely on it — use the settings link above instead, which we do act on.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the cookies we use change. If the change is a material one we will ask for your consent again rather than assume the old answer still applies.
